I've been neglectful

Life has been so busy.  I've been crafting and canning but also doing so much gaming.  Animal Crossing may be just a little evil.  I had family visit and rushed through some projects to send home and save on shipping.  Sent home with family two new can cozies.  They turned out amazing and I was thrilled that I was able to get them done in such a short time.  















 There was also an order made by one of my favorite authors.  I had sent her a gorgeous cup posted about it on July 1st and she wanted one for a friend but in different colors.  The colors she wanted were gold, green, and black.  I think it turned out awesome.








Now that canning and dehydrating is wrapping up for the seasons I should have a little bit more time to craft and blog so expect some more posts coming in the coming weeks.

      Very much so. I hooked my parents, sisters, cousins, and family friend into playing. It's a lot of fun. I got way to excited last weekend when I caught my last fish I needed.

Book Organization

I've told you how I made my book shelves now lets talk about organization.  Like I said in the last post I am a librarian.  I have a book scanner to scan my books into a catalog to track my books.  The catalog is organized so that I don't accidentally buy two copies of the same book.  Let's just say I am a bit obsessed with my books.  There is no way my books are organized by color or size.  Ok mine are sorta by size but for a reason. One of the problems I was running into was when I would go to put away the new books it would take time to figure out where the new ones would go.  Books would get shelved out of order because there was just one small book with that authors in Q and I missed it. Book Storage

Not all of my craft projects are small. In my professional life I am a librarian.  I love all things books.  Book theme everything.  I have a massive book collection between audio, digital, and physical books.  Books are what I buy besides my crafting supplies.  Book cases are expensive particularly when you need 8 not standard size ones.  Yes that is just for me. My living space has been taken over by book cases and I am good with that.   This is just one of them.  It fits my hardcover and trade paperback books.   Here it is full of books.  I have a second bookcase that is also the same dimensions.  I just took 1 x 8 x 6 boards painted them the color I wanted.  To prevent paint transfer to my pretty books I also use polyurethane to seal in the paint.  I went with a less shiny polyurethane because I'm not a fan of shiny but if you are interested in it go for it.  Once they were all dried I took 2 inch screws...

Chevron Stitch

 My sisters asked me to do videos on how to knit so that's what I've been working on.  Lots and lots of knitting.  I've learned some new techniques as well as gotten over my fear of multi colored projects.  I'm going to start sharing stitches that I've worked up.  To start with this is the Chevron stitch.
